The official release date for Fronter 82 within the London MLE is the 25th August 2008. Please read the update regarding the newest version of the London MLE for further information.
Fronter can confirm that the majority of MIS integrations are now working normally. The remaining issues and guidance are as follows:
- End of Year MIS integrations; - In some cases the previous cohort have not been removed from their old groups/rooms. The Product Development team are currently working toward a solution to resolve this issue, which should be available within the next few days.
- The integration is unable to update any rooms that have been “closed” with the correct members. If your schools are experiencing this, kindly ask them to contact their local administrator to “re-open” the rooms. Alternatively the schools can contact UK Support Desk for advice. Once all the required rooms have been reopened a full export from the MIS can be run which will provide the correct allocation.
- All teaching staff have access to last years’ rooms within Fronter Buildings to ensure access to their teaching resources. Note that a new teacher in a room has access rights to remove the previous teacher by selecting “remove” from the members list within the room. Alternatively, this can be carried out by the local administrator.
- Schools that have not yet re-enabled their MIS imports in Fronter for the new academic year must be encouraged to do so. The UK Support Desk will be able to assist in this matter.
Fronter would like to reassure all their customers that Fronter is doing everything possible to support schools in getting the MIS integrations completed and would like to apologise for the inconvenience caused by the End of Year processes to the LAs and their schools. The senior management team at Fronter are in the process of reviewing and tightening their internal controls to ensure this does not reoccur in 2009.
