Improving the ability to exchange information between different Fronter installations, increasing the support for standards, making it possible for parents to see their children’s work and progress. Another important part of this release is eight e-learning courses for teachers. The courses are available for everybody: E-learning courses.

Most parents and carers would like to keep track of their children’s school work, attendance, activities and homework. With the new Parental login, parents and carers will be able to take part selected activities. Different age and user groups will require different levels of information to be available to their parents and cares. It is also imperative for the school to be certain that access is only given to confirmed parents and carers.

The Eight e-learning courses for teachers will guide the user through a number of tools and functionalities.

The e-learning courses include the following modules:

  • How to Get Started
  • An Introduction to the Hand-in folder
  • How to Create Pages and Learning paths
  • How to Share Information
  • An Introduction to Multiple Choice Tests and Course Surveys
  • How to Share Resources
  • How to get an Overview of Students´ Total Activity
  • How to Promote Online Student Collaboration

The modules feature video, audio, animation and screen recordings, to guide you though the most common operations and concepts in Fronter. The videos are only available in English, and can be found in the Help section of your Fronter installation.

The Fronter Bridge makes it possible to share content and collaborate in rooms across Fronter installations. With the bridge a user is able access rooms located in trusted Fronter installations. Via the Fronter Bridge, you may grant selected users the right to access a common repository.

The booking module makes it easy to reserve resources like computer labs, cameras and more. The module will keep track of all your future reservations. It is also possible to add reservations to existing appointments. Access to resources can be customised.

The purpose of this functionality is to move students’ files between different schools. This will ensure that students are able to transfer schools without losing the content of their portfolio.

Uploaded images are now displayed using a predefined size. Large files may be removed without deleting the resized image.

The Sound Recorder allows users to record sound without having to store it locally.

The multiple file upload in Fronter has been improved to make it easier to upload several files in one operation, also supporting drag and drop functionality. There is no limit on file size.
